For so many of us Gregg Allman was a cherished artist who’s music gave us endless hours of pleasure. Although we knew his health was precarious, we were no less shocked and saddened when he died last May at the age of 69.
We learn that Allman was determined to finish his final album Southern Blood. The first song [More]

As I watched News 12’s Erin Colton wade into the Hurricane José flooded parking lots at Jones Beach today, I couldn’t help but wonder if this weekend’s final two Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater shows would be affected. So we reached out to our friends there and were assured that as of this afternoon all is well at the venue.
The Sammy Hagar and Laid Back Festival shows are scheduled to proceed as planned.
Here are the set times for both shows:
Doors 6:00 pm
7:00-7:25 Andrew Hagar
7:30-8:30 Collective Soul
9:00-10:30 SAMMY HAGAR and The Circle

It’s always a thrill for fans when one big star drops in on another and two of the biggest stars on planet earth joined forces at Madison Square Garden Friday night. Bruce Springsteen and E Street Band guitarist Little Steven surprised the crowd by performing The Beatles’ ‘I Saw Her Standing There’ with Paulie.
The Beatle and Bruce performed the tune together once before at a Springsteen show in Britain in 2012, so I guess Bruce was just repaying the favor!
Paul McCartney will play two shows next week at the Nassau Coliseum and I’m wondering if any big stars will surprise us [More]

OUCH!! What the hell is a gaping hole doing in the middle of Metallica’s stage?? Fortunately Hetfield wasn’t hurt badly, but he sure could have been!! At the end of “Now That We’re Dead” James said he was OK, except for a bruised ego and some hurt feelings.
According to Rolling Stone magazine: “Hetfield tripped on one of four openings that allowed tables of percussion to be lifted onto the stage from below. Fans captured footage of the fall on their phones; one angle from slightly above the stage shows that the trap doors opened only moments before the singer’s tumble.”
