Chris Cornell’s Daughter Releases Duet With Her Dad in a Father’s Day Tribute

Soundgarden singer Chris Cornell committed suicide last may leaving behind a heartbroken wife and three children. Cornell’s middle child, daughter Toni, age 13 released a duet she and her dad recorded of the Prince song ‘Nothing Compares 2 U’ in tribute to him for Fathers Day with the poignant open letter to him below. It’s hard to imagine Toni Cornell was even younger than 13 when they recorded this! She obviously inherited her dad’s gift for singing. RIP Chris.

Journey Says Steve Perry is “a Classy Guy”

One of the biggest mysteries in rock is why original Journey front-man Steve Perry refuses to reunite with the band he helped make so famous. Many hoped he would join Journey to jam at the band’s induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, but after rumors abounded that it would happen, it didn’t.

Billy Joel is no stranger to Broadway, his collaboration with choreographer Twyla Tharpe produced the show that kicked off the juke-box musical craze, ‘Movin’ Out’.  In fact Billy and the show won several Tony Awards in 2003, and since Billy and Bruce have been friends for many years who better to present his Tony to Springsteen than our own Billy Joel.
