Stamp Out Hunger® Food Drive

The annual letter carrier’s Food Drive is the largest one day food drive in America and all the food you donate is used replenish supplies at Food Banks right here on Long Island. Who’s hungry on Long Island? Struggling families, veterans who have fallen on hard times, the elderly, the working poor and more. In other words, it’s our neighbors.

Please help. If we all do a little, we can collect a lot! And don’t let this rainy day stop you from putting a bag of food by you mailbox, letter carriers work rain or shine.

If you want to take part in Stamp Out Hunger:

Set non-perishable food out at your mailbox in a bag before your letter carrier’s normal pick-up time. “Non-perishable food items include: cereal, pasta, pasta sauce or spaghetti sauce, rice, canned fruits and vegetables, canned meals (such as soups, chili and pasta), 100 percent juice, peanut butter, macaroni & cheese, canned protein (tuna, chicken and turkey), beans (canned or dry).
