WATCH The Killers Open Rock Hall Ceremony With Rollicking Tribute to Tom Petty

  • 8:11 am Tuesday, April 17th, 2018 by Donna Donna

Brandon Flowers of the Killers was at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony Saturday night to induct The Cars, a band he told Rolling Stone was, “the first band I fell in love with, and they set me on the right track.”

Flowers and the Killers are also big Tom Petty fans and have been performing ‘American Girl’ and ‘Free Fallin’ in tribute to Petty at their shows since Petty passed away in 2017. So it made perfect sense for the Rock Hall to chose the band to open the induction ceremony in honor of Tom Petty.

WATCH: Ann Wilson Performed ‘Black Hole Sun’ in Memory of Chris Cornell at the Rock Hall Ceremony

Ann Wilson of Heart and Jerry Cantrell of Alice in Chains paid tribute to fellow Seattle musician Chris Cornell at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony Saturday night by performing a somber version of Soundgarden’s ‘Black Hole Sun’.

In a poignant moment Ann seemed to put particular emphasis on the lyric “no one sings like you anymore.”

Watch the performance above and try not to cry.

Bon Jovi was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland Saturday night and fans finally got the reunion with guitarist Richie Sambora that they’ve long been yearning for, but I have to wonder if a permanent reunion is just a pipe dream.

Richie told Rolling Stone Magazine after the ceremony Saturday night  “You know, it’s really strange…I really haven’t been thinking about it over the last 10 years and I wasn’t really sure it was going to happen. I figured that after 130 million records and all the achievement we had, that eventually it would come to fruition, [More]

WATCH: Dee Snider Shines on Broadway and Shouts Out Striking Teachers!

  • 11:49 am Thursday, April 12th, 2018 by Donna Donna

Striking teachers in Oklahoma were seen on the news recently chanting Twisted Sister’s ‘We’re Not Gonna Take It’ and when Dee Snider took the stage for his week long stint in the Broadway musical ‘Rocktopia’ he dedicated the tune to educators.

It was an apparent shout out to the movement that began in Kentucky to raise awareness of the poor pay and under equipped classrooms that public school teachers all around the country are forced to deal with. According to website Ultimate Classic Rock, Snider  “gave the teachers a tacit nod of approval on Twitter, noting that while “I totally [More]
