Met’s icon, the great Rusty Staub passed away today at age 73. Rusty was known off the field for his charitable endeavors as much as he was known on the field for his play. In fact Rusty started the New York Police & Fire Widows’ & Children’s Benefit Fund that has raised millions of dollars for the families of our first responders. Rest In peace Rusty.
Scroll down to watch Keith Hernandez talking about his friend and mentor Rusty Staub.
